What a precious gift Sophia is to her family. She was absolutely adorable for our session together. Her favorite part was staring quietly out the window as the rain came down, which gave me the perfect opportunity to get in some fabulous shots with her eyes wide open.

Even though Sophia was an angel for our session, I felt bad for her because you could hear how congested she was, which can be really tough on  newborn trying to fight off the common cold. I am so happy I had the chance to photograph Sophia when I did because a couple days after her photo session she  ended up having to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance. She just couldn’t get enough oxygen and was fighting so hard that she needed more help. What an awful thing to experience as a parent, much less a new parent! With the support, love and prayers from all her family and friends, she was able to come home after a short stay in the NICU. I wish her and her family the best and I am so happy she is home safe and sound!
