As a photographer in an area where I grew up, I get a unique chance to reconnect with friends and their families years later. For this particular session I was able to do just that. It was so nice to spend an evening with such a fun and loving family that has grown quite a bit since I knew them years ago.

We were not sure if we were even going to have this session due to the odd weather for October… we had snow the day before! This is not normal weather for Maryland and I’m wondering if it’s any prediction of what this winter might being this year. Although it was cold, the sun was shining and the snow melted just in time for our session.

I’m sure glad we were able to get together though. I loved having the opportunity to see such wonderful parents join together with their now grown children as well as their children’s children to document how quickly families grow. I hope to have the chance to document my beautiful family 20 years from now when my children are carrying on our family tree. It’s amazing to know that that day will come quicker than I can even imagine, but it’s a beautiful thing!
