Scarlett was a busy little one year old for our session together. We pulled out all the stops to get her to just sit in one place long enough for us to capture some adorable images of her personality. I can already see the teenage years approaching as her love of her mom’s cell phone has already begun. She might not be talking to friends yet, but she certainly loved watching Elmo videos and bouncing up and down to the music. She especially loved when we sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to her. She would clap and laugh pretending it was her party all over again. I felt bad we didn’t bring out another cake for her to smash her little hands into!

It’s funny how kids officially LOVE the word birthday after they have their own first birthday celebration. The hard part is getting them to understand that the next time they are somewhere where there is a birthday celebration… it’s not for them. Can you blame them? Who wouldn’t want cake and presents all the time?!
